Beyond the like counter: what social networks are actually for in a B2B small company, which profiles turn them into a measurable sales channel, and how we wired them into the CRM in Orizen, so every post can be traced to the lead it produced.

I Who it is for

Three profiles who want social networks to do more than count likes.

Social networks occupy an awkward place: everyone knows you have to "be there", few know what it actually does for the business. Three profiles turn it into a measurable sales channel.

Owner building a personal brand on LinkedIn

You post on LinkedIn under your own name and you see the likes, but you have no idea which of your contacts actually read you.

Reactions and comments on your posts come back into the CRM, matched to the right customer records. You know which post reached which prospect.

Communications manager in a small company

You juggle three networks, keep your calendar in a spreadsheet, publish by hand and report roughly. No overall view.

A visual multi-network editorial calendar, batch publishing, consolidated analytics. You take back control of your planning, with no extra tool.

B2B rep prospecting on LinkedIn

You trade LinkedIn messages with prospects, but those exchanges live somewhere other than your CRM. In the end, no trace is left.

Incoming LinkedIn messages are attached to the prospect's record in the CRM. The history stays, even when the contact person or the tool changes.

II The networks wired into the CRM

Every post traceable to the lead it produced.

The visual detail below: how Orizen ties your networks to your CRM, the visual multi-network editorial calendar, and how social leads are attributed to the post they came from.

III How it goes

From scattered posts to an editorial calendar that holds.

Three clear milestones: accounts connected on day 1, an editorial rhythm settled in week 1, and the channel turned commercial by month 1.

Day 1 · The accounts are connected

Your networks are connected and your first post is scheduled.

  • OAuth connection of your LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook pages
  • First post written and scheduled in the calendar
  • Internal approval set up: who signs off on what before it goes out
Week 1 · The rhythm settles in

Your weekly posts are scheduled in one sitting.

  • Editorial calendar filled for the next 2 weeks
  • Image library shared with the team
  • A guided video call with a human from Orizen included
Month 1 · The channel turns commercial

You know what brings in leads, not just likes.

  • Social leads captured and attributed to the post they came from
  • Commercial analytics in place: revenue generated per channel
  • First editorial adjustment made on the basis of the data
IV Frequently asked questions

The answers to the questions we get asked most.

Which social networks does Orizen handle?

LinkedIn company pages, Instagram business accounts, Facebook company pages. Orizen does not connect to individual personal profiles: the public APIs do not allow it, for data protection reasons. TikTok, X (Twitter) and YouTube are under consideration, depending on demand.

Why connect your social networks to your CRM?

For two concrete reasons. First, leads arriving through a Facebook form or a LinkedIn message land straight in the CRM, with the context they were captured in. No more leads forgotten in a Messenger or LinkedIn inbox. Second, engagement analytics by segment show what works commercially, not only what works as a vanity metric of likes and shares. You learn which posts attract your actual customers.

How much does a social media management tool cost?

The market (Hootsuite, Buffer, Swello, Agorapulse) runs between €15 and €100 per social account per month depending on the features. Orizen Social Networks is part of the Orizen ecosystem, so there is no extra cost for users who already have it. What Orizen adds is the link to the sales pipeline, which dedicated tools do not provide.

How many posts a week do I need on LinkedIn or Instagram to be seen?

What we observe among B2B small companies: 2 to 3 posts a week on LinkedIn and 3 to 5 on Instagram give a good effort to visibility ratio. The rule that matters is not raw frequency but regularity. Two posts every week for 6 months beats 10 posts in one week followed by a month of silence.

How do I tell whether my posts generate business, not just likes?

Three commercial indicators that go beyond vanity metrics. One, the number of leads created in the CRM with "social" as their source this month. Two, the rate at which those leads convert into opportunities and then into signed customers. Three, the revenue generated by the social segment. Orizen shows all three natively, because leads stay attached to the post they came from.

Should my posts differ from one network to another?

Yes, as far as you can. LinkedIn rewards long text, a point of view, expertise: a 1,500-character post carrying a personal opinion does well. Instagram rewards the visual and the emotion: a strong image with a short caption that asks a question. Posting exactly the same content on both is possible but leaves value on the table. Orizen lets you duplicate a post and then adapt it per network.

V What we believe

Social networks are not your shop window. They are your front door.

Most small companies treat their social networks as a shop window: you put content in it, you hope it gets seen, you watch the like counter. A lot of production effort, little measurable return.

But social networks, LinkedIn in B2B and Instagram in B2C above all, are far more than a window: they are where future customers notice you before they type your name into Google. They are the start of the commercial relationship, not its scenery.

We have seen too many teams produce content for nothing because the chain from post to conversation to lead to quote was broken at every link: LinkedIn on one side, the CRM on the other, and the communications team dispatched nowhere.

So we wired social networks into the CRM in Orizen, so that each post can be traced to the lead it produced and you can stop measuring in likes. The right indicator for a LinkedIn post is not how many thumbs it collected, it is how many useful conversations it started.
