What is project management software and who needs it?
Project management software brings the stages, tasks, milestones and team of a customer project together in one place. For a small company, it is the tool that turns a signed quote into a controlled delivery, without losing information in emails, spreadsheets or sticky notes. Any organisation that delivers work as jobs benefits from it: agencies, IT consultancies, construction, consulting, trades. From the third or fourth parallel project, keeping track without a dedicated tool becomes unstable.
How much does project management software cost?
Project management tools generally run between €8 and €40 per user per month. Orizen Project Management is part of the Orizen modular approach: no extra cost for users who already have the CRM or the invoicing module. The free 14-day trial covers every feature, with no commitment.
How do I go from a signed quote to a structured project without retyping?
As soon as a quote is signed electronically in Orizen, a project is created automatically with the customer, the amount, the promised delivery date and the quote lines, which can become stages or deliverables. The team is notified and the project appears in the pipeline. Nothing to retype, nothing to copy from the CRM into an external tool.
How do I track the time spent on each project?
Each team member logs their hours against tasks, or uses the one-click timer. The profitability report refreshes live: you see straight away what margin each project is making against the signed quote. Particularly useful for agencies, IT consultancies, freelancers and engineering firms.
Can my customers follow the project live?
Yes, through the Orizen client portal. Each project can be shared with your customer in read-only mode. They see the milestones passed and the deliverables available in real time, and can comment directly in the portal. No more "where are we?" emails: your customer has the answer live.
How do I share files and deliverables without Drive or Dropbox?
Every project has a built-in file space, open to your team and to your customer through the portal. You drop the deliverables there (PDFs, images, videos) and your customer opens them directly, with no Drive permissions to manage and no external Dropbox links. The files stay attached to the project, inside the history of the relationship.
