Which tool can manage independent consultants?

For a solo consultant, a tool for day-rate quotes, invoicing and engagement tracking is enough. For a firm that works with several independent consultants, you also need to assign them to engagements, collect their time and track margin. Orizen covers both cases: an external contributor logs time from the engagement portal, and the manager approves it.

What software do independent consultants use?

How can freelancers prepare for 2026 e-invoicing?

Since 1 September 2026, every French business (including freelancers under BIC/BNC issuing B2B invoices) must be able to receive e-invoices; issuing becomes mandatory for SMEs and micro-businesses by 1 September 2027 at the latest. Everything goes through an approved platform (formerly PDP). Orizen is not an approved platform: it prepares your invoices and sends them through two partner approved platforms, B2Brouter and Super PDP. No painful migration is expected.

How can I remind a client who hasn’t paid without damaging the relationship?

Orizen offers three approaches: (1) Automatic reminders at day 0, day 15 and day 30 with polite templates — you retain control to personalise them. (2) Instant visibility of outstanding receivables in the dashboard. (3) If friendly reminders fail, a pre-filled formal demand letter. The relationship remains governed by the contract, not your patience.

Are my financial data really hosted in France?

Yes, entirely. Orizen is published by ForgeTheWeb, a French company based in Toulouse, and hosts its data on OVH servers located in France. No transfers outside the EU, native GDPR compliance. Your invoices, contacts and figures remain under your digital sovereignty — a key differentiator from several competitors hosted overseas.
